Commencement plan for Plymouth Whitemarsh High School announced

On Friday, Plymouth Whitemarsh High School released its plan for a commencement ceremony for its 2020 graduates. Traditional graduation ceremonies have been canceled or postponed across the country due to the pandemic.

The plan was developed with the input of students, teachers, administration, and local authorities. The plan is dependent on the restrictions and guidelines in place at the time the specific events are scheduled.

In addition to the events, a Class of 2020 graduation video will be created from the May 20-27 footage.

The plan involves two non-traditional events and a delayed traditional ceremony in July. Below are the details:

Diploma Ceremony (Specific details will be shared by Friday, May 15)
Dates: May 20, 21, 26 or 27 (Seniors will be assigned a set time & date.)
Where: PWHS West Gymnasium

Senior caps and gowns will arrive at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School within the next week and the school will send further information to outline the plan to distribute to students. Additional information pertaining to the May ceremony will be shared by May 15th.
