Conshohocken Borough Council member Bob Stokley confirmed to MoreThanTheCurve.com that “as of now” Conshohocken is still planning to have its annual fireworks show on July 3rd with a rain date of July 4th. According to Stokley, Sutcliffe Park will be closed.
We inquired with the Borough of Conshohocken’s administration yesterday and have not yet received a response. We inquired because we have received numerous inquiries about the fireworks over the last few days.
There are still unanswered questions, such as what will be permitted viewing wise if you can’t see the fireworks from your home.
There is also the issue (we think at least) of Conshohocken being overwhelmed by onlookers from other towns who have had their fireworks canceled. Ambler, Norristown, Glenside, etc., have all canceled their firework displays in response to the pandemic.
More to come.
