As we reported, Imbibe Food & Drink will be taking the restaurant space formally occupied by Stella Blu at 101 Ford Street in West Conshohocken. Imbibe will be a small-plates specialist with a focus on wine and cocktails. It is scheduled to open by the end of March.

Imbibe is owned by Sean Weinberg, who owns Alba in Malvern and Biga in Bryn Mawr. On Craigslist.com, Biga is seeking candidates for a new chef and the ad states that is because the current chef “will be moving on to open our 3rd restaurant in Conshohocken.” Biga’s current chef is Conshohocken native and Plymouth Whitemarsh High School grad (2000) Steve Fulmer. He now resides in Plymouth Meeting.

The sale of the building was completed on January 17, 2018. Colin McHale of Beacon Commercial Real Estate represented 101 Ford Street Investors, LLC, the buyer in the transaction.
