The owners of Playful Pets and Ruh Ro’s Pet Shoppe, both along Ridge Pike in Conshohocken (Plymouth and Whitemarsh townships, respectively), have announced that they are closed or closing.

Playful Pets, which opened in 1966, closed on January 4th.

Ruh Ro’s is set to close no later than January 30th. The 3,400-square-foot pet store opened in the Whitemarsh Shopping Center in 2021.

In both cases, the owners thanked their customers and said the decision to close was difficult.
