On December 30th, the Conshohocken Police Department announced that it had arrested two men on December 28th after interrupting an attempted theft from a vehicle on the 100 block of West 3rd Avenue. One man was arrested after attempting to flee the scene on foot. The other was apprehended when police located the vehicle they were using.
Arrested were 28-year-old Ahmad Mashid Stinson of Clifton Heights and 28-year-old Kyi Waters-Freeman of Philadelphia. Following an investigation, police believe both were involved in thefts from vehicles in Conshohocken on December 26th, 27th, and 28th. The investigation also concluded that the vehicle they were using had been reported stolen in Philadelphia on December 21st.
Both were charged with multiple felonies, including Theft By Unlawful Taking-Movable Property (F3), Receiving Stolen Property (F3), and a misdemeanor of Theft From A Motor Vehicle. Stinson was also charged with the felonies of Possession Of Firearm Prohibited, Evading Arrest or Detention on Foot, and Receiving Stolen Property.
On January 28th, Stinson had bail set at $99,000 and was unable to make bail. He is currently confined at the Montgomery County Prison. Waters-Freeman had bail set at $10,000 unsecured and was released. Both have a preliminary hearing scheduled for January 14, 2026, before Magisterial District Judge Dara Nasatir.
In the announcement, the police department thanked residents and businesses for helping detectives track the pair by providing video footage and eyewitness reports, and for promptly reporting suspicious activity.
