Conshohocken police arrest man who used a ladder to enter juvenile’s bedroom to attempt sexual assault

The Conshohocken Police Department reported today that on August 11th, officers responded to a residential burglary in progress. According to the notice, a juvenile victim reported that a male had entered through her bedroom window, got into bed with her, and touched her. The juvenile victim ran out of the room and immediately told an adult.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a ladder was going from the rear yard to the victim’s bedroom window. The male was located hiding in the juvenile victim’s bedroom underneath a blanket wedged between the victim’s bed and the wall. The male was identified as Michael Malone, who was taken into custody without incident.

According to police, Malone admitted his intentions were to attempt to have sexual relations with the juvenile victim if she was willing to.

Michael Malone is charged with Attempted Rape and Attempted Sexual Assault of a Child, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Indecent Assault of a Child, Burglary, Criminal Trespass, and related charges.
