The Conshohocken Police Department will conduct Operation Safe Stop on Wednesday, October 21st, to help promote school bus safety in an effort to protect the community’s children.

In a social media post, the department reminded motorists that “passing a stopped school bus with its red lights flashing and stop arm extended is both dangerous and illegal. Children may be boarding or exiting the bus, and drivers must remain alert and prepared to stop.”

During the operation, officers will be patrolling and monitoring school bus routes and enforcing Pennsylvania’s school bus safety laws.
