Conshohocken resident Mike Monsell is set to be inducted into The Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia Hall of Fame on November 21st at a ceremony at Live! Casino & Hotel. The Hall of Fame recognizes those who have made significant contributions to the field of broadcasting and communications in the Delaware Valley. Monsell is the vice president of marketing for Disney ABC Television Group, 6ABC, WPVI. He has been with the company since 1999.

While Monsell is not on the air, you may recognize one aspect of his work. One of his main jobs is marketing Action News, the No. 1 local news show in the region. Some of these promos were partially filmed in Conshohocken. Below is one such commercial titled “Hey Monica! Where’s Rick” that featured anchors Monica Malpass and Rick Williams. The portion of the promo with the two runners was along the riverfront in Conshohocken.

Other 2025 inductees include Monica Avery, ‘Lady B’ Bahiyyah Clark, George Cummings, Jacqueline London, Mike Quick, David Skalish, Andie Summers, and David Yadgaroff. Sue Serio is being recognized as the person of the year.
