How did you come to live and/or work in Conshohocken?

I was raised in West Norriton, PA. Both my parents were born and raised in Conshohocken, PA.  Both my sets of grandparents lived, and many of my 42 cousins still live in Conshy.  As a child, every morning in the summer, my mom would load me and my brother and sisters into the 72 Oldsmobile and off to Conshy we went.  For a day filled with swimming in the 4ft above ground pool on West 10th and running all around Sutcliff Park, racing in the Soap Box Derby, or just to visit family.     In a sense…Summering in Conshy.

After college I moved back to the area and was fortunate enough to buy my grandfather’s house off of Colwell Lane.   I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

What do you do (career wise)?

After getting a History degree, bouncing around in a few sales jobs, I went back to computer school and have been employed as a Communications Engineer specializing in IP Telephony and Networks for Yellow Book in King of Prussia for the past 10 years.

What are you involved in outside of work?

I love playing sports.  Norristown Mens Slowpitch Softball, Plymouth Unlimited Arc Mens Softball, Philadelphia Sport and Social League coed Football, Conshohocken Bocce Ball (CBC).  Also find time to train for running events like Broad St.Run, Philly Distance Run and this year the Tough Mudder at Bear Creek.  Gardening, making hot peppers, hot sauce and spending time with my many nieces, nephews, friends and their children.

What do you love most about Conshohocken?

What’s not to love?  I love pretty much love everything, the awesome bars and restaurants, The CBC is spectacular, location wise being close and easy access to everything.  But most of all, the people make this town.  Tough, funny, loyal, down to earth, caring and an awesome sense of community not easily found in most towns.

What are your favorite places in Conshohocken?

Conshy Bakery is a paradise.  CBC, Spring Mill Fire House, Boathouse, Guppy’s, Stone Rose, Super Fit and Totaro’s are great places.  It is very hard to pick out because there are so many great places with different styles, crowds, beers and ambiance.  Pretty much what ever mood you are in, you can find a place to have a good time.
