Democratic Party candidates to represent Whitemarsh and part of Main Line in Harrisburg participate in forum

The Democratic Committee of Lower Merion and Narberth held an online candidate forum for the four Democratic candidates running to replace State Representative Mary Jo Daley who has long represented PA-148, which includes Whitemarsh Township, Narberth, and part of Lower Merion. Daley announced in October her intent not to seek reelection in 2026 and retire.

The four candidates are recently elected Whitemarsh Township Supervisor Megan Griffin-Shelley, former Narberth Mayor Andrea Deutsch, environmental lawyer and civil rights advocate Jason Landau Goodman, and Leo Solga, a researcher at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School. The forum was moderated by Daniella Weinberg, the director of communications for the committee.

The primary election is scheduled for May 19th.
