Baggataway Tavern is hosting Great Lakes Brewing Company for a tap takeover tonight (July 12th) starting at 6:00 p.m.  Great Lakes is an environmentally and socially conscious brewer of award-winning, all natural beer in Cleveland, OH. They are also one of Baggataway’s favorite breweries and they are very excited to be doing an event with them. Don’t forget, if you can’t decide on a beer, do a Paddle Sampler – a 5oz sample of any 4 beers for $9.00.  The beers that will be on tap are:

Holy Moses (Witbier) – A Belgian wit ale spiced with orange, coriander, and chamomile. Refreshing! (5.4%)

The Wright Pils – Classic Pilsner style with a flowery bouquet and elegantly dry finish (5.3%)

Dortmunder Gold Lager – This smooth Vienna Style lager strikes a delicate balance between sweet malt and dry hop flavors. This is a Gold Medal winner at The Great American Beer Fest (5.8%)

Elliot Ness Amber Lager – Amber lager with rich smooth malts and crisp, noble hops. An excellent representation of a classic amber lager (6.2%)

Burning River Pale Ale – Assertively hopped American Pale Ale with hints of citrus and pine from Cascade hops (6%)

Lake Erie Monster (DIPA) – This unfiltered imperial IPA packs a huge hop flavor. A must try for the hop lovers. Be careful, it packs a wallop at (9.1%)

Edmund Fitzgerald Porter – A complex, roasty porter with notes of bittersweet chocolate and coffee punctuated by a bold hop presence (5.8%)

Engine 20 – A smoked version of the Edmund Fitzgerald Porter. This is a very special release and Baggataway is the only bar in Philly serving this beer. This will go quickly so we will tap it around 8:00 p.m.
