  4. The Boar's Head and Yule Log Festival will keep the whole family inspired and entertained with a cast of nearly 200 people. The Boar's Head Festival originated at Queen's College, Oxford, England in 1340. It celebrates the Epiphany when the Wise Men arrived in Bethlehem to honor the birth of Jesus. At St. Peter's it begins with a tiny sprite bearing a lighted candle symbolizing the coming of the Light into the darkened world. The Festival continues with, among others, a brass fanfare, Lords and Ladies of the Manor, woodsmen, shepherds, the Cameron Highland Pipe Band, drummers and the Beefeaters who are the fabled ceremonial guards of the Tower of London. Finally, the Three Kings arrive bringing their gifts to Mary, Joseph and the Christ Child.
