The Colonial Middle School (CMS) theater program is proud to present Disney's Freaky Friday The Musical, one-act edition, on March 14-17 in the CMS Auditorium. Shows are 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday. Based on the move of the same name, Freaky Friday The Musical tells the story of an uber-organized mother and her spontaneous teenage daughter who magically swap bodies and have just one day to put things right. Masquerading as each other, they must work together to solve the mystery of how to break the spell. By spending a day in each other's shoes, Katherine (eighth grader Azzy Crumpton) and Ellie (seventh grader Savi Bell) come to appreciate one another in a way they never could have imagined. In the end, both learn the true power of love and the strength of the bond between a mother and daughter in this heartfelt and hilarious adaptation.
