Once a month, this group reads a book from Lauren Tarshis’s “I Survived…” series, short historical fiction books that cover major natural and man-made disasters and events throughout history. At the meeting, we discuss the book and do an activity related to the topic. This monthly book club is for children in grades 4-6. This month we’ll be reading I Survived the Great Molasses Flood, 1919, and experimenting with the viscosity of different liquids. You will be able to check out the book at the beginning of the month, so your child will have time to read it before the meeting. Registration is required.
