The weather looks great for the first weekend of the Conshohocken Winter Market presented by Cencora. The market will feature 25 vendors under a big tent and more in the SORA West Plaza adjacent to Hotel West & Main in downtown Conshohocken on December 6-8. You can meet this weekend’s vendors here.
The market opens at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 6th, and at 6:00 p.m., the Plymouth Whitemarsh High School Holiday Cheer Band will perform. Bands from the Back to Bach music school will follow. The market closes at 8:00 p.m.
The market reopens on Saturday, December 7th, at 11:00 a.m. At 12:30 p.m., the Philly Grinch will appear. He will sing a couple of songs and be available for photos. From 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., four Victorian carolers will entertain in the plaza.
The Conshohocken Running Club will meet at the market at 5:00 p.m. for a holiday run for all levels. After the run, they will hang out for happy hour at the market and 1874 Social, Hotel West & Main’s lobby bar.
Closing out the day will be Parlour Noir at 6:00 p.m. They will be playing some jazzy versions of your favorite holiday tunes. The market will close at 8:00 p.m.
The market will reopen on Sunday, December 8th, at 11:00 a.m. and close at 4:00 p.m.
What is there to eat and drink? All weekend, 1874 Social will offer holiday favorites like hot cider, hot cocoa (spiked and un-spiked), a winter margarita, mulled wine, and more. A limited menu is available downstairs at 1874 Social, and dinner can be enjoyed upstairs at Hook & Ladder.
Brewery Techne + Bar Hygge, Pieri Vineyard & Winery, Cider Belly Cider, and Revivalist Spirits and Resurgent Whiskey will be offering samples of beer, cider, wine, and distilled beverages that are available for purchase in cans/bottles to enjoy at home.
Plenty of vendors will also have snacks to enjoy at the market or at home. Look for baked goods, freeze-dried treats, pretzels, pickles (Friday only), wine-flavored jellies, hot sauces, chocolates, and more.
There will be special treats on Saturday. Merenda Box and ‘feine will have S’mores hot chocolate, hot chai, Brazilian hot dogs, coxinhas, churros with dulce de leche, brownies, and brigadeiro boxes. The From the Boot on the Move food truck (wood fire pizza and wings) will be parked along the plaza on Fayette Street all day.
Where to park? There is abundant free parking in the SORA West parking garage adjacent to the plaza. Enter the garage via West Elm Street.
What to wear? The market is held mainly on grass, so wear the appropriate shoes. The current forecast is mostly sunny with the high in the high 30s, except for Sunday, which could hit 50 degrees. Remember, there is a big tent and the opportunity to warm up in the hotel bar and lounge area.
The market will then return for a second weekend, December 13-15, with about half the vendors changing. So be sure to plan a return visit!
