Exit 4 Escape Room has opened in Conshohocken. Grand opening event set for May 15th

Exit 4, an escape room venue, recently opened within the Plymouth Square Shopping Center in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township). Within the shopping center, it is on the back (or lower side) of the center near San Beverage.

Exit 4 was launched in New Jersey in 2016 and now has 16 locations in a handful of states. It was launched by five founders, including Derek and Anne Lindeman, who have since moved from New Jersey to Plymouth Meeting. For the Conshohocken location, Anne is the franchisee.

When speaking with Anne, she stressed that Exit 4 is different than many other escape rooms as your group, no matter the size, always has a private room. You are never paired with strangers. The rooms are built for those seeking a fun afternoon or evening out, as well as corporate and group events. She was also excited that the center has complementary businesses such as P.J. Whelihan’s and the not-yet-open Nothing Bundt Cakes (for birthday parties).

Exit 4 in Conshohocken will be holding its grand opening on Friday, May 15th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be interactive brain teasers (with prizes), sweet treats and goodies, 50% off gift cards (in-person only), giveaways, and an appearance from the Philadelphia Union’s mascot Phang. The first four groups (10 or less) that join the fun receive a free escape room entry. Remember it starts at 4:00 p.m.

The four rooms are:

Video Valhalla
Be kind, rewind… or else. It’s 1993, and you’ve snuck into a video rental store with only 60 minutes to break into the return slot and rewind a rented video that you just returned. The rewind fees are outrageous, and the stakes are high in this Crystal Pepsi-fueled caper.

The Wizarding Hour
While visiting a rival wizard school, you hear rumors of a sinister magical creature black market hidden away in the potions classroom, and there is only one hour to free the helpless magical beasts before the evil professor returns.

The Lone Wolf Rises
Deep beneath Downtown City, an abandoned subway station conceals the entrance to the Wolf’s Den, a high-tech lair of the clueless yet courageous superhero Lone Wolf, and you’ve just been hired to thanklessly assist his crime-fighting efforts. But when leisure-loving villain The Yachtsman captures Lone Wolf and threatens to flood the city, orientation is cut short, and it’s up to you to save the day… and your new boss.

Room 172
Checking in for a relaxing weekend at this secluded mountain hotel was super easy, but checking out could be murder.
The hotel is haunted with the spirits who have met their grizzly ends here, and they want you to join them… forever. This room is designed with mild horror elements and is not recommended for young children or adults who don’t like a good scare.
