Former Exxon Property at East 7th and Fayette Back on Market

Binnie Bianco of Long & Foster shared with us earlier this week that the former Exxon property at the corner of East 7th and Fayette is back on the market (see listing). The business is no longer an Exxon and does not sell gas, but does actively service automobiles.

The property was first marketed for sale back in 2014 and a developer worked on the project for a couple years, but it never moved forward. The plan was for retail on the ground floor with apartments above. This developer eventually decided against moving forward.

There are four key properties up for redevelopment in the Borough of Conshohocken and this is one of them. The first is the Moore property at 12th and Fayette (where a developer is seeking to put a convenience store and gas station), Leeland Mansion (which won’t be torn down, but potentially will be sold by the Borough), the Exxon property, and then west unit block of Fayette Street (proposed for a hotel, larger office buildings).

Fayette Street consists of 13 blocks through Conshohocken. The properties mentioned above represent the two entrances to town, the Exxon at the heart of town, and Leeland Mansion representing the town’s history.

Binnie describes the opportunity to redevelop the Exxon property on LoopNet as follows:
