The building at 800 Fayette Street in Conshohocken has been listed for sale for $1.2 million. While that isn’t unusual, it is notable as it’s the first property we have seen specifically marketed as a redevelopment opportunity under the newly established Fayette Street Corridor Overlay District.
Conshohocken’s borough council created the district in February 2024 as an effort to spur redevelopment along Fayette Street. The focus was creating sidewalk level retail with residences or offices above.
According to property records, the building that has been listed for sale has been owned by members of the same family since 1952. It currently has an office on the ground floor and several apartments above.
