Five Plymouth Whitemarsh High School musicians qualified for district ensembles

Five Plymouth Whitemarsh High School students have qualified to perform with the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 11 music ensembles after successful competitive auditions held earlier in December.

In January, junior Zakhar Paulousky will be performing on Bass I at the District Chorus Festival at Council Rock North, and junior Sophia Somers will be playing violin at the District Orchestra Festival at Perkiomen Valley High School. In February, three students will be attending the District Band Festival at Central Bucks South High School. They are junior Andrew Walters performing on clarinet, senior David Epstein on mallet percussion, and junior Tilly McLaughlin on bass clarinet.

As part of the district festivals, the musicians will be auditioning again for spots at the regional festivals.
