Free parking for SEPTA riders is coming to end after four years. Specific to the three train stations in the Conshohocken zip code, free parking will come to an end on September 27th at Miquon Station and October 23rd at Conshohocken and Spring Mill stations.
Before SEPTA offered free parking spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic it cost $1 a day to park in the lots at the three stations. That will increase to $2.00.
“These fees will help offset parking lot maintenance costs as we continue to do our part to generate revenue in the midst of a funding crisis,” said SEPTA CEO and General Manager Leslie S. Richards. “We understand how increasing fees could impact riders, but we hope they will still see public transit as an overall value – saving time and money compared to driving a vehicle.”
Those parking will be able to pay the daily fee through the SEPTA Park app, an on-site kiosk, and via text message.
SEPTA’s parking enforcement officers will read license plates using vehicle-mounted cameras. Violations or warnings will be issued for illegally parked vehicles.
