Help the Conshohocken Catholic School Win a $50,000 Science Lab

Conshohocken Catholic School (CCS) is a small school consisting of preschool through 8th grade students located in the heart of our beloved Conshohocken. CCS is a community where children enjoy a sense of belonging, take pride in their achievements and reach out in service to others. The parents and community work very hard to support the students and because of its importance in our lives, has made science a priority. CCS is working towards improving its science facilities and curriculum but as with most schools budgets are tight. To assist with budget concerns CCS has been nominated for the Clorox Company’s Power a Bright Future grant program. If won, this $50,000 grant will allow CCS to more fully equip its science facilities and establish a more robust science curriculum. A fully equipped in-school laboratory and complete science curriculum will allow CCS students to immerse themselves in science through hands-on activities and experiments. It will enable our children to compete in our global economy as scientists, engineers and doctors of the future.

The Conshohocken Community can help CCS win this much needed grant. From Oct. 24, 2011 through Dec. 9, 2011, you, your friends and your family can support our local school by voting each day online at http://www.powerabrightfuture.com/gallery/detail/?nid=575 or by texting Clorox8735 to 44144. Voting will take less than a minute but winning the grant will give CCS students opportunities that will last a lifetime.
