Holiday Trash and Recycling Update

Trash or recycling day is on Monday and wondering whether to put it out due to the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday on Monday, January 15th? Below is what is scheduled to happen in each municipality in MoreThanTheCurve.com’s coverage area:

Conshohocken

Public Services will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2018. Trash and recycling will not be collected on this day. Recycling only will be collected on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 for the East Side of Conshohocken. Trash will be collected on the next regularly scheduled day for the East Side on Thursday, January 18, 2018. The West Side of Conshohocken will operate on a normal trash and recycling schedule.

Plymouth Township

According to its website, trash will be picked up on Monday, January 15, 2018. Here is what it states:

When a Holiday falls on your recycle day during the week, recycling will be picked up on Wednesday of that week. Your trash will be picked up on your next scheduled trash day. If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the holiday is observed on Monday. Trash will not be collected on the following holidays:

  • New Years Day
  • Good Friday
  • Memorial Day
  • Flag Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Election Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Day after Thanksgiving
  • Christmas Day

West Conshohocken

The Borough is closed on Monday, January 15, 2018 to honor the Martin Luther King’s Holiday. so there will be no trash collection. Trash will collected on Tuesday and Wednesday. Recycling will be Wednesday as usual.

Whitemarsh Township

Whitemarsh Township’s website states that there is no collection on the following holidays:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Fourth of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

So if your collection day is Monday, it looks like it will be picked up.
