Hotel and Office Buildings Back on Agenda of Conshohocken’s Borough Council

Back in January, Conshohocken’s Borough Council voted to table the proposal to create a Special Zoning District 4, which would allow larger and higher buildings along the western unit block of Fayette Street and back to Robinson Alley. Approval of the proposal from Keystone Property Group would allow the developer to move forward with its plan to build a hotel, a larger parking garage, public square and larger office buildings.

The issue that seemed drive Borough Council concern with the proposal is a change in parking spaces that would have been dedicated for public use. Keystone wanted to limit this to after business hours and weekends. The Borough referred back to the original proposal, which stated the parking spaces would be all day.

It will be interesting to see if this issue was resolved or what else might be driving the proposal’s return to consideration.
