Information on rising gas prices from a local source

On Friday evening MoreThanTheCurve.com spoke with a local person in the fuel industry. According to our source, the wholesale price of gas (regular, plus, and supreme) went up by 25 cents from Thursday to Friday. Diesel went up by 28 cents.

The retail pricing for one local station will change from Friday to Saturday as follows:

These prices include taxes. The combined state and federal tax on gasoline is 78 cents per gallon. For diesel it is 99 cents.

This operator receives an update each day at 7:00 p.m. from the supplier on the current wholesale price. According to our source it takes 12 to 24 hours for the price change to occur across the local stations.
