Sol Yoga Studio is offering a Intro to Meditation Workshop on Wednesday, June 15th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. This two hour workshop will be led by Allison Sobel and workshop topics will include science, philosophy and practical applications of meditation. Participants will be given the tools needed to establish the groundwork for a sustainable home practice. This program introduces participants to several major meditation techniques from the yogic and Buddhist traditions, including:
- Meditation on the breath
- Mantra Meditation
- Loving-kindness meditation
- Walking meditation
Participants will be introduced to those above meditation practices and the principles on which they are based. There will be periods of silent sitting and walking meditation, as well as discussions. This workshop will provide a foundation to apply meditation and mindfulness practices into your daily life. Please note that this is NOT a yoga class. Please dress in comfortable attire.
