ABC has announced that Lafayette Hill native Michael Rubin will appear in the upcoming season of Shark Tank as a guest shark. Rubin is a Plymouth Whitemarsh High School graduate and owns Conshohocken-based Fanatics, a company focused on licensed sportswear, sports collectibles, trading cards, sports merchandise, and most recently sports wagering. Forbes‘ 2023 list of the richest people in the world list him tied for 151st with a net worth of $11.4 billion.
If you are not familiar, Shark Tank is a popular television show that has budding entrepreneurs pitch their products to successful entrepreneurs, known as the “The Sharks.” The Sharks then can individually pass or make offers to invest in the pitched products.
ABC did not share the date when Rubin’s episode will air.
While Rubin is on business news television and web shows all the time, Shark Tank will mark his second appearance on a reality type show. He was on Undercover Boss in 2010. You can watch a clip below.
