Lafayette Hill synagogue among the synagogues targeted with bomb threats statewide on December 14th. No explosive devices found

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported on December 15th that the FBI and local police are investigating bomb threats made to synagogues across Pennsylvania on December 14th. Congregation Or Ami in Lafayette Hill was among those threatened.

According to emails sent to members of Congregation Or Ami the Whitemarsh Township Police Department quickly responded and a search was conducted and the synagogue was found to be safe.

No explosive devices were found at any of the synagogues targeted with threats.

The threat came on the day of the last night of Chanukah. The local Jewish community lit the Giant Menorah at the Old Township Building in Miles Park in the early evening as scheduled.
