In early March, USA Triathlon announced its roster of 2018 Age-Group Triathletes of the Year, as selected by USA Triathlon’s Age Group Committee (see full list).

The committee selected Beni Gras-Thompson of Roanoke as the Women’s Masters Triathlete of the Year. There were five honorable mentions for this group, which included Sharon Schmidt-Mongrain of Lafayette Hill (pictured at top).

Scdmidt-Mongrain was one of only two Pennsylvania triathletes recognized.
