Lafayette Hill’s Bailey Feeney scored goal in overtime to win conference championship in women’s hockey for Stonehill College

Lafayette Hill’s Bailey Feeney scored the game winning shot in overtime for Stonehill College to win 3-2 against Franklin Pierce University and claim the New England Women’s Hockey Alliance championship.

Feeney scored with less than two minutes left in overtime when she deflected a shot into the goal. This was the sophomore biology major’s 10th goal of the year and fourth of the postseason. Senior captain Paige Whaley and sophomore defender Sydney Russell registered assists on the goal.

Next up for Stonehill is Cornell in the NCAA Women’s Hockey Tournament.

Feeney is a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph’s Academy.
