Lane restrictions along Fayette Street in Conshohocken will continue next week. Work is being done to upgrade the signaling at three intersections (3rd Avenue, 9th Avenue and 11th Avenue). The schedule is Monday, July 29th, through Friday, August 2nd, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
PennDOT describes the upgrades as follows:
As part of this project, crews are working to improve safety and traffic flow at 10 intersections along Fayette Street between Elm Street and 11th Avenue. The scope of work includes installing new signal controllers, mast arms, video detection, emergency pre-emption equipment, pedestrian signal heads, and push buttons; and building ADA curb ramps. The improvements will improve the efficiency of the signal operation, and maximize the green time allocation for each signal phase based upon actual traffic demand.
