The Philadelphia Inquirer reported on June 18th on the status of Angelo’s Baking Company selling its bread to retail customers. Angelo’s Baking Company is affiliated with the popular cheesesteak and pizza business named Angelo’s, which many consider the best in the region.
As you probably already know, Angelo’s purchased the Conshohocken Italian Bakery facility and initially focused on producing rolls for its own use. In February 2026, MoreThanTheCurve.com shared a video Angelo’s posted on Instagram of an equipment being delivered that was described as a key piece needed to begin sales to the public. They are awaiting an oven that will help the bakers on the wholesale side.
In the Inquirer’s article, Angelo’s owner, Danny DiGiampietro, offered that starting retail sales from the counter has been delayed due to issues with the building.
