Leaf collection for Conshohocken, West Conshohocken, Plymouth, and Whitemarsh

It is leaf collection season. Below are the details on leaf collection in the Borough of Conshohocken, Whitemarsh Township, Borough of West Conshohocken, and Plymouth Township.

Borough of Conshohocken

The Borough of Conshohocken’s fall leaf-vac collection will begin on Wednesday, November 2nd. Leaves will be collected on the following schedule (view).

Inclement weather or equipment malfunctions may result in delays. At the conclusion of the announced schedule, the borough will collect large leaf piles and clean all inlets and culverts as needed, weather permitting.

There are a few rules for the collection of leaves:

  • Obey the “no parking” signs will be posted on scheduled streets prior to leaf-vac collection.
  • Leaf piles may extend along the length of your entire property. Rake the leaves to the curb but not into the street.
  • Do not mix limbs, brush, and other debris in the leaf piles. This may result in damage to equipment and injuries to employees.
  • Leaves will not be collected in the trash. Trash with leaves commingled will not be collected.
  • Once the leaf-collecting machine passes it will not return.
  • Leaf collection is limited on East Hector and Elm streets due to narrow roads, high traffic volume, and one-way traffic. Public Services will make every effort to leaf-vac these roads, however, residents on these blocks should plan to bag their leaves and place them curbside for pick up on Wednesdays with yard waste collection.
  • There is yard waste collection every Wednesday throughout the borough.

Whitemarsh Township

Whitemarsh Township’s leaf collection program kicked off on October 17th and runs through December 2nd. The Township Public Works Department does its best to provide service to each residential street at least once per week, weather permitting. An exact schedule hasn’t been released that we could find.

Residents are asked to pile their leaves curbside (do not bag) and remove all sticks.

Plymouth Township

Full details on the township’s leaf collection program and the schedule can be found here (pages 21-22).

Borough of West Conshohocken

Leaf collection will begin on Monday, October 31st, and will run through December 30th. Rake all leaves to the curb line for collection. If you bag your leaves, put them out with your regular trash. Remove all sticks or trash in the leaf piles (they damage the vacuum machine). There is no set schedule, but the borough’s public works crew checks daily for piles of leaves. You can email rdronitsky@westconsho.com to alert them to a pile.
