Man accused of striking Plymouth Township police officers with vehicle appeared in court. Police officers lined the parking lot outside courthouse

Dalton Janiczek, the 22-year-old Lower Gwynedd man, who is accused of striking Plymouth Township police officers with his vehicle in October 2025, had a preliminary hearing before Magisterial Court Justice Jodi L. Griffis in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township) on April 22nd. You can read about the incident here.

When Janiczek was brought into the courthouse, Plymouth Township police officers, their families, and others were lined up outside in the parking lot.

All of the charges, which include Criminal Attempt – Murder Of The First Degree and Criminal Attempt – Murder of A Law Enforcement Officer of the First Degree, were waived for court, which means the defendant voluntarily gave up their right to a preliminary hearing in the lower court, and the criminal charges will move directly to a higher court. Court documents show that the next scheduled step is a formal arraignment on May 26th. Janiczek had previously been denied bail and he is confined at the Montgomery County Prison.
