Morgan Properties officially moved from King of Prussia to Conshohocken on September 4th with a ribbon cutting at its new corporate headquarters at the Millennium Complex at 227 Washington Street on the riverfront. In 2018, Morgan Properties purchased the three Millennium office buildings (225 Washington, 227 Washington, and 20 Ash streets). It followed that up with the purchase of the undeveloped property between these properties and the Schuylkill River in 2022.
Morgan Properties is one of the nation’s largest multifamily owners. It started with purchasing the Kingswood Apartments & Townhomes in King of Prussia in 1985. Among its properties is the Sherry Lake Apartments in Conshohocken (Whitemarsh Township), which it purchased in 2019.
“This new headquarters is more than just a building; it’s a testament to Morgan Properties’ evolution from humble beginnings to an established, best-in-class multifamily owner and operator,” said Mitchell Morgan, founder and CEO of Morgan Properties. “It symbolizes our unwavering commitment to our employees, partners, and the communities we serve. As we look to the future, this space will inspire our team to continue building on the strong foundation we’ve laid over the past four decades.”
During a presentation before the ribbon cutting, Morgan spoke of living in at the Plymouth Park Apartments in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township) while in high school and then as a young adult in an apartment on East 4th Avenue.
“The relocation of our headquarters to Conshohocken is a pivotal step in fostering the future growth of our company,” said Jonathan Morgan, president of Morgan Properties JV. “In the last five years, we have grown from the 25th largest multifamily owner to the largest private owner in the nation – a result of our strategic yet assertive acquisition strategy. As we continue to grow and expand our footprint, having a home base that’s fully optimized to support our current and future employees, thousands of residents, and key stakeholders is paramount. With our new Conshohocken headquarters, the future is even brighter for Morgan Properties.”
“We acquired the Millennium Complex six years ago with the intention of one day transforming it into our new corporate headquarters and experiencing it as such today is a surreal milestone for our organization,” said Jason Morgan, principal and president of Morgan Properties Special Situations. “The Millennium Complex is a prime example of how a strategic location with great regional access and community-focused amenities can create a sustainable ecosystem for businesses and their employees. We’re thrilled for the future expansion possibilities this important move opens up for us.”
Morgan Properties will employ 200 employees at the Millennium complex with plans to grow.
