We now know the name of the restaurant that will replace Daniel’s at 16 East 1st Avenue in Conshohocken. Over the winter, Daniel’s suffered water damage and has been closed since early January.

The restaurant’s ownership, The Brover Group, is reopening the restaurant under a new name, Neos Americana, and concept, as stated in a job employment ad: “bold flavors, refined execution, and the Greek spirit of xenia—welcoming every guest with grace and sincerity.” On the Facebook page, it states the restaurant will offer, “The soul of the Mediterranean, reimagined for Conshohocken.”

We also know that the restaurant will feature two spaces, the main restaurant in the area where the bar has historically been (dating back to Spamps), and a new cafe space on the side fronting East 1st Avenue. In recent months, the restaurant was hiring a pastry chef for the cafe.

No word on the opening date.
