Last year the Borough of Conshohocken began to implement suggestions from its new insurance carrier on ways to reduce workers compensation claims. One of those suggestions was to have the trash and recycling bins lifted by an apparatus attached to the truck instead of having the workers do it. The process is not completely automated, as the workers are still needed to put the bins in place and return to the curb. But it removes the heavy lifting and reduces injuries.

This required new trash and recycling bins, which the Borough has secured (see the bins in top photo). We aren’t sure if the distribution has begun yet, but once you receive your new bins they are to be put to use by March 4th.
