The Philadelphia Business Journal reported on July 17th that 7th Street Burger, a smash burger restaurant based in New York, has signed two leases in the Philadelphia region, which includes one for the Plymouth Square Shopping Center in Conshohocken (Plymouth Township). The other is on the University of Pennsylvania campus.
7th Street Burger features smash burgers, crispy fries, and fry dishes that are loaded or topped with jalapenos. Impossible burgers and Impossible fries are also available.
The article does not mention which spot within the Plymouth Square Shopping Center that 7th Street Brugers will make its home. The current map of the shopping center does not show 7th Street Burgers as a tenant. There are also no obvious spaces available. The only storefront along the front-facing strip is the former Rite-Aid/Wren Kitchen, which is much larger than a burger restaurant would need (though it could always be divided).
According to the article, the opening in Conshohocken is slated for late 2026 or early 2027.
Five Guys Burgers & Fries closed within the shopping center in late 2025. It is being replaced by NAYA.
