Another Hooter, David Uosikkinen (pictured on drums above and to the far right in the group shot) has moved to West Conshy and created In the Pocket: Essential Songs of Philadelphia.  This project will be a series of sings and for the first song he is being joined by The Hooter’s Rob Hyman and Eric Brazilian, The A’s Richard Bush, Beru Revue’s Greg Davis and William Wittman.

The first song that will be available for download sometime in October or November will be “All My Mondays” by Philadelphia 80’s band, Youth Camp, which Uosikkinen was a member of. You can hear the original here.  For more details, they also have a Facebook Page.

The songs recorded will be available for download for 99 cents at www.songsinthepocket.org (not up yet).  A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Settlement School, which serves more than 15,000 students each year without regards to age, race or financial circumstances.
