The coffee shop opening at the Outbound Station is scheduled to open in about a month.  They have selected to serve La Colombe coffee.

Regarding other future openings….I hear 8 East is moving forward, but I haven’t heard anything definitive….a Mexican place is opening at the spot where the Pretzel Factory was on Fayette…..at the corner of 1st and Fayette Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches is still supposed to take over the space……..and the ownership of Cafe Zesty in Manayunk are opening a restaurant on Elm near Pepperoncini.

With the addition of Jimmy Johns, the Mexican place and Style of Man all of the recently vacant space on the main strip of Fayette Street is once again occupied.

Where is Conshohocken should you buy your Valentine chocolates or other sweets for Valentine’s Day?  If you answered Edwards-Freeman, you should play Quizzo tonight at Flanigan’s Boathouse.

Like live music and dessert?  Totaro’s has live music every Thursday and Friday and their own in-house pastry chef.  Stop in after dinner to hear some great performers and enjoy dessert and an after dinner drink.

Cheryl Ann of Cheryl Ann Floral Design is hosting “Wedding-911 – Ask the Experts” on February 24th from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Spring Mill Fire House.  The night will offer brides the opportunity to discuss their pending nuptials with the experts and get tops on how to save money and make their wedding unique.  A $5 donation to the fire company is required to attend.  For more info contact Cheryl Ann at (610) 397-0777.

Two high schools have approached Conshohocken Borough to build a boathouse along the river off of Washington Street.

Beginning last Friday (the 5th), Blackfish BYOB is offering guests complimentary wine every Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and after 9:00 p.m.  The wine selection will feature a white and a red from a different region each week.  There is a limit of two glasses per customer.

Chef Johnny “Mac” McDonald will be Blackfish BYOB’s guest chef on Monday, March 1.

Plymouth-Whitemarsh has a new football coach.  According to a person I spoke with who is well connected in the local sports scene, many parents are upset that other candidates, including ones with college and NFL experience, were not given proper consideration for the position.  They plan to attend an upcoming school board meeting to voice their concerns.
