Conshohocken’s Alec Ounsworth, seen above playing on Letterman with his band Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, has two new projects.

It has been confirmed that Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches is opening up a location at the corner of Fayette and 1st Avenue.  The location was formally a nail salon.  They hope to open before the New Year.

A benefit for the Cystic Fibrosis is being held at the Spring Mill Fire House on Friday, November 13th from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.  They promise, “Guitar Hero, Mario Kart, Wii Golf, Beer and lots of food.  So, yeah. Pretty much the coolest benefit ever.”

Conshohocken’s TK Club is hosting a series of Zydeco bands and dance lessons are offered prior to the show.

The Conshohocken Shade Tree Commission would like to invite all neighbors interested in planting a tree on along the street in front of their home to participate in our Fall Bare-Root Tree Planting on Saturday, November 7th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m..  The Commission has purchased a variety of trees for planting around the borough, which are suitable for planting beside sidewalks and under power lines.  For more details contact the Borough at conshohockenshadetree@gmail.com or (610) 828-1092.

A “Community Shredding and Hazardous Waste Disposal Day” courtesy of Iron Mountain will be held on Saturday, October 31st from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Conshohocken Police Station at 720 Fayette Street.

Take-out only T’dori is expanding into the adjacent space that is being vacated by Disc World on Ridge.

Chiquita Loco is closing today for renovations.  They plan to open back up on shortly.

The H.I. Ribs on Ridge closed and there is a sign that says “Andy’s Diner is Coming Soon.”
