Norman’s Hallmark, the nation’s largest independent owner of Gold Crown Hallmark stores, has announced it has signed a lease to occupy 7,280 square feet at The Metroplex shopping center in Plymouth Meeting. This lease marks the card and specialty gift retailer’s return to Plymouth Meeting as it previously operated a store at the Plymouth Meeting Mall. MoreThanTheCurve.com first reported that a Hallmark store was coming to The Metroplex in May.
The new retail shop at The Metroplex will be one of Norman’s “super store” locations, featuring an expansive selection of card and gift items in “a modern and inviting shopping environment.” An early fall opening is tentatively planned.
“Norman’s Hallmark has a large and loyal customer base in this area. We are thrilled to be back, and look forward to serving shoppers in Plymouth Meeting and the surrounding communities with one of our larger, full-format stores,” said Howard Henschel, Norman’s president and chief executive officer.
“The Metroplex is a well-located, high-quality shopping center that’s home to numerous nationally recognized tenants including grocery chain Giant Food – it’s a great center and a wonderful place for us be.”
The Norman’s Hallmark store filled the last vacant spot at The Metroplex to make it 100% leased. It will be located next to ULTA (in the space that was once Carter’s).
