On the September 16th agenda for Norristown’s municipal council is an item regarding a possible hearing to determine if Councilmember Dustin Queenan is in violation of the requirement within the Norristown Charter for elected officials to reside within the ward they represent. Queenan represents the 3rd Ward.
The issue was raised in a September 3rd letter submitted by Mary Ellen DiGregorio, who asserts that Queenan has not lived at an Astor Street home since a fire and that he resides in an apartment community in King of Prussia. Two people familiar with the issue shared that evidence against Queenan involves the Astor Street home not having had water service since 2022, which would prohibit habitation, as well as images of his vehicle at the King of Prussia apartment.
There are further accusations that, due to submitting Statements of Financial Interest with the Astor Street property listed as his residence, he violated a state ethics act and one involving falsification of a record submitted to authorities.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 16th at 6:30 p.m.
