The Philadelphia Business Journal reported on Nudy’s Cafe’s expansion efforts, with its 15th location opening in Glen Mills. The article delves into the cafe’s expansion plans, and the Plymouth Meeting area is mentioned as a target.
From the article:
Nudy said his aim is to “constantly grow” the brand in the coming years by adding about two new restaurants annually. He is looking to open the chain’s next locations further north towards Plymouth Meeting and Doylestown and further south in Delaware. The chain does not currently have any locations in Bucks County or in Delaware.
Nudy’s opened a Conshohocken location in 2019.
Where could one open in the Plymouth Meeting area? Some obvious spaces include the former Pizzeria Uno on Ridge Pike in Conshohocken, the former Ruby’s Tuesdays on Chemical Road in Plymouth Meeting, and the former Bertucci’s at the Plymouth Meeting Mall. Expanding the search to the “area” opens up the possibilities to the former Crab de Jour in East Norriton and the former diner along DeKalb Pike in Blue Bell.
The article mentions that Nudy’s has recently been focusing on converting former bank buildings into restaurants. We can’t think of any vacant banks in the Plymouth Meeting area, but there is the property that was previously Wells Fargo in Lafayette Hill.
