Henry A. Mulkiewicz, of Monmouth Junction, NJ, died peacefully on October 9, 2021 at the age of 90 in Princeton/Plainsboro Hospital. He was born April 30, 1931 in Conshohocken, PA to Kazimiera and Adolf Mulkiewicz. He attended St. Mary’s Polish American Elementary School in Conshohocken, and St. John Kanty Polish-American high school in Erie, PA.
In 1953 he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University. Upon graduation, he began employment as Development Engineer for Westinghouse Corporation in Lester, PA. While employed by Westinghouuse, he began taking evening classes at Drexel towards a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
In 1954 Henry was conscripted to serve in the U.S. Army, during the Korean War. He was selected by the Army for officers’ training, but opted instead for honorable discharge in 1956. He returned to Westinghouse, and resumed classes at Drexel evening school. He received a Master of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1958. In 1961 he received a Master of Business Administration degree, also from Drexel University.
After completing his graduate studies, Henry redirected his career into the emerging disciplines of computer development and information technology. He became an accomplished global executive. He and his family enjoyed an overseas assignment in Brussels, Belgium in 1991. Henry also worked in Poland with the Polish Department of Agriculture. He also worked as an information technology consultant in Amsterdam, Berlin, Glasgow, Toronto, and Boston.
Henry was a devoted and beloved husband and father, who will be greatly missed by his wife of 40 years, Martha, their son, Henry, and his daughters, Lucia, Christina, and Julia.
