Outdoor electrical fire in West Conshohocken and has resulted in a power outage on the Conshohocken side of the river

The Borough of Conshohocken has issued an alert that an electrical fire in West Conshohocken has caused a power outage in “areas of Conshohocken.” According to the borough, PECO is on the scene.

The Montgomery County Active Incidents Report shows an outdoor electrical fire located at Conshohocken State Road and Barr Harbor Drive. It was first reported just after 5:00 p.m.

PECO’s outage map (shown at the top of the article) shows that there is an outage on the Conshohocken side of the river on Ash Street. That is the street that runs down to the river front near the Residence Inn. PECO shows that the outage is the result of a transformer problem and it is impacting nine accounts (which in that area could mean entire buildings) and that power is expected to be restored by 8:20 p.m.
