PennDOT is still on track to reopen Chemical Road in Plymouth Meeting by the end of the year

MoreThanTheCurve.com asked PennDOT today for an update on the work being done to reopen Chemical Road in Plymouth Meeting. The portion of the road between Gallagher Road and Germantown Pike has been closed since March 26th due to sinkholes.

According to a response from a representative of PennDOT, the work is still expected to be completed by the end of 2021. Here is the text of the response:

We are still on track to finish by the end of the year. We began paving yesterday, and weather permitting that will be done by the middle of next week.

After that the remaining work includes post-repair geophysics, line striping, guiderail installation, and other miscellaneous items to have the road ready for traffic.
