Pickleball facility seeks zoning relief to open in Plymouth Meeting

On the June 5th agenda for the Plymouth Township Planning Agency is an item involving a use variance for the property at 1450 Gravers Road in Plymouth Meeting (Plymouth Township). The almost five-acre warehouse/manufacturing property was purchased in 2021 by 1850 Gravers PA Property LLC, an entity associated with Scheer Partners of Maryland.

The 76,028-square-foot building has been recently marketed as a space for research & development and office for multiple tenants. We have yet to determine which pickleball business is behind this proposal and whether it is seeking to utilize the entire building or a portion of it. There are just under a handful of pickleball businesses looking to open facilities in the region.

The planning agency will review the application and make a recommendation to the township’s zoning hearing board.

The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Greater Plymouth Community Center.
