Plymouth Meeting native and Plymouth Whitemarsh High School graduate Jesse Jaconski is playing baseball this summer for the North Shore Navigators in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. Jaconski, who recently joined Penn State’s baseball team, has earned a spot in the league’s All-Star Game being played on Sunday, July 21st at Muzzy Field in Bristol (CT).
Jaconski, who is an outfielder and first baseman, will be in the East Division starting lineup as the designated hitter. He has been a near-everyday player for the Navigator’s this summer, leading the team with a .286 average and 12 RBI across his first 26 games. He has hit four doubles, one triple and one home run among a team-leading 24 total hits and also scored seven runs. He has slugged a team-best .393 and reached base at a .340 clip. A highlight of Jaconski’s summer came on June 11 when he went 3-for-4 with a double, a homer and three RBI at Martha’s Vineyard.
After graduating Plymouth Whitemarsh, Jaconski initially played collegiate baseball at the University of North Carolina and then Hartford Community College, before landing at Penn State.
The 2024 NECBL All-Star Game will played July 21st at 5:10 p.m. and it will be broadcast on ESPN+.
