Two Plymouth Meeting runners who recently completed 8th grade at Colonial Middle School placed in the Top 5 in the 400 meters in the Middle School Division at the New Balance Nationals held from June 19-22 at Franklin Field at the University of Pennsylvania.

Christian DiGiacomo (pictured left) and Caden Page (pictured right), representing the Conshohocken Electric Force, finished 4th and 5th in the 400 meters, respectively. The outcome was based on the top times from 12 heats. DiGiacome also placed 8th in the 200 meters, and Page earned second place in the 800 meters.

Chanel Williams Smith (pictured center), a native of Conshohocken, coaches DiGiacomo and Page on the Electric Force. In an Instagram post, Smith wrote about the pair, “Proud is an absolute understatement! Coming out of heat 11 of 12. PRS [personal records] for both! The most self motivated and disciplined athletes I’ve met. THEY EARNED THIS!!!! Caden and Christian there are no limits to what you can achieve!”

DiGiacomo will be attending Germantown Academy for high school, while Page is attending Holy Innocents Episcopal High School in Atlanta.
