Lehigh University announced its incoming baseball players for 2026-2027, and it includes Plymouth Meeting’s Gavin Ruta. The outfielder plays high school baseball at William Penn and committed to Lehigh in 2025.

“I am proud to announce my commitment to play baseball at Lehigh University,” offered Ruta when committing. “I would like to thank my coaches, family, and friends for all the help along the way. Also, thank you to the Lehigh coaching staff for the opportunity. Go Mountain Hawks!”

At William Penn, Ruta was a four-year varsity starter. He hit over .400 as a junior and recorded a 1.000 fielding percentage. He also played for the Philly Bandits travel team.
